Types of Language and Social Skills Disorders:

Receptive Language Disorders - this occurs when a child has difficulty decoding incoming language. It refers to a child's ability to understand language.

Expressive Language Disorders - this occurs when a child has difficulty putting language together to express thoughts.

Central Auditory Processing Disorders - this occurs when a child has difficulty processing spoken language

Pragmatic (social skills) - both individual and group setting are available to target acquisition of social skills. Social skills are often impaired when a child has a significant language disorder.
