There are many types of feeding disorders: Picky eating, muscle-based, medically-involved, dysphagia, and sensory-based.
Receptive Language Disorders – this occurs when a child has difficulty decoding incoming language. It refers to a child’s ability to understand language.
Expressive Language Disorders – this occurs when a child has difficulty putting language together in order to express thoughts.
Central Auditory Processing Disorders – this occurs when a child has difficulty processing spoken language.
Pragmatic (social skills) – this occurs when a child’s social language skills are impaired. This generally occurs when a child has a significant language disorder. Both individual and group settings are available for therapy to target acquisition of social skills.
